The puppy and professor form a unique bond. Soon, the dog begins seeing his master off to work each morning at the station and returning—at the sound of the evening train’s whistle—to greet him each night. Remarkably, after the professor dies suddenly, the canine returns to the station every morning and evening for ten years, until his own demise. The film is based on the true story of a dog in Japan named Hatchiko. Hatchi’s unwavering devotion is A picture of the love of God for His children. He desires to be with us at all times and waits for us when we leave His side. His loyalty to us far outweighs that of any friend, lover, or companion. Have you strayed from His side?
