UP Mindanao Librarian Dr. Briccio Merced Jr., Chairperson of the 8th Phil-BIST Conference and Fair, introduces Keynote Speaker, Dr. Edizon A. Fermin, a graduate of the UP College of Education and current principal of Miriam College High School. Dr. Fermin spoke on the evolving role of librarians in the new educational environment in his talk, The Glocal Way: Preparing Libraries and ICT Systems for ASEAN Integration. Dr. Merced and Dr. Fermin both delivered lectures on the theme in the Conference proper.
