UPCOMING EMT ceu course EMT PEDIATRIC EMERGENCY PREHOSPITAL PROFESSIONALS-BLS (PEPP) (8) NJ EMT CEU’s Pediatric Education for Pre-hospital Professionals (PEPP) is a one-day educational program developed specifically for BLS providers by the American Academy of Pediatrics. The program specifically addresses the following areas: • Pediatric assessment • Management of pediatric respiratory, cardiovascular, and medical emergencies • Management of pediatric trauma • Emergency delivery and newborn stabilization • Children with special healthcare needs • SIDS • Child maltreatment • Medico legal considerations This program mixes video footage and lectures with hands-on skills to provide the student with a well-rounded understanding of the management of the pediatric patient. PREREQUISITE: EMT-B/EMT, First Responder/EMT, Paramedic or RN Students must have PEPP text book by Jones & Bartlett with them the day of class.
