UPCOMING WEATHER EVENTS: NASTY STORM EXPECTED ON SUNDAY WITH - TopicsExpress

UPCOMING WEATHER EVENTS: NASTY STORM EXPECTED ON SUNDAY WITH MOSTLY RAIN. POTENTIAL FOR AT LEAST ONE NOREASTER WED-SAT NEXT WEEK WITH SIGNIFICANT SNOW POSSIBLE. Forecast: Friday - (AM Low: mid 20s) Partly cloudy with gusty winds expected, especially after noon. Slight chance of a brief flurry or snow squall during the early afternoon. High in the mid 30s. Temps dropping into the single digits after dark as winds dye down. Saturday will be mainly sunny, but very cold with a high in the low to mid 20s. A storm will rapidly develop over the area on Sunday as energy and moisture comes up from the south. This will also drag in lots of warm air, so while precipitation may begin as a wintry mix midday, itll change to rain after noon. That rain could be heavy. Please note that any shift in track could mean the difference between a lot of rain, a little rain, or more in the way of snow, so stay tuned. The storm will depart early Monday morning, likely ending as snow and ice as temps drop dramatically. Im watching for a few potential snowstorms later in the week. One on Wednesday, and another Friday into Saturday, but most likely itll be one or the other, so stay tuned to find out! Its way to early to tell!
