UPDATE -- Workers at the former St. Matthews/St. Anthonys church allowed me to enter the construction site, where I saw the beginnings of a hallway lined with future rental apartments on either side and a second-floor above. Meanwhile, my impression of the CHOP development is that the river boardwalk will extend south under the bridge, loop back to land by the planned CHOP tower and continue along a 14-ft. wide path that will lead to a circle near the power plant. Three riverside overlooks would dot the pathway. Access to the Schuylkill would be from Bainbridge.
