UPDATE - much activity this week at Rocks By Rail. Visitors to the Autumn Steam Gala will be amazed to see that flat limestone bed now has so much steel work! The IREC project really is coming on apace (did you read about it in STEAM RAILWAY MAGAZINE in Novembers issue?) and time slots for relaying the three roads into the shed are already being discussed (photos 1&2). We will be sorry to see the Gala visitor, Beyer Peackock No.1827, such an attractive loco. I had to go and have one last look through the rear cab cut-out (photo 3). In the workshop, work has begun on cleaning up the motion on ELIZABETH P.1759 (photo 4), and RHOS HC1308 Has its axle boxes removed (photo 5), and a good clean up has begun under her footplate (photo 6). A good and productive week all round.
