UPDATE--The fire in the 2400 block of Tepusquet Canyon Road started just before 1:30 pm today. Santa Barbara County Fire Captain David Sadecki tells the Information Station that as of 3:20 this afternoon, the fire is between 15 and 20 acres. It is burning uphill and firefighters will try to flank the fire to stop it at the top of the hill. The fire also burned "a portion of a vineyard." The flames are being pushed by a moderate west wind. There are about 200 firefighters on scene with crews on the ground, 2 air tankers and 3 helicopters. No cause has been announced for the fire and Captain Sadecki did not mention anything about evacuations so far.
