UPDATE 6 days post-op: Emma is doing exceptionally well. Shes already learning to balance on her two front legs. Shes still pretty weak, so she can only take about 10 steps before she starts shaking and has to lay down. Shes a tough cookie though. Her bathroom issues are no longer a problem. Yes, we are getting another wheelchair made for her. It wont be a quick process because we first have to let her get her balance down to see what type of chair shell need. Shes already had several which were donated since she wouldnt use them. Its very likely she wont use this one either, but well still try. Several people asked about her incisions being kept clean when she walks outside. Since she wont use her drag bag, I have to let her do it herself. So I clean it as soon as she comes in with a surgical anti-bacterial cleaner. Her incisions look really good! Shes still got a long way to go, but I expect shell be back to her old, stubborn self within a few weeks. 😊
