UPDATE 8/17/2014 6:15pm EST Today Larry went for some testing to see if he had any clots in his lungs which they did NOT find. But they did find a bit of pneumonia. So they have added another bag of meds to his collection. He is going to be switched to a bed that rotates him from side to side because of the difficulties he has when he is shifted around in bed. He is not ready yet to be taken off the ventilator but now the left lung has stopped showing bubbles in the tube so they anticipate that his chest tubes will be removed tomorrow. (***Jumping for joy here!***) Hes been awake a lot this morning. Hes asked how the accident happened and what happened to him during it. He doesnt remember it or going to the 1st hospital in Fillmore. I told him about him telling the nurses there to call me and giving them my number. He also did not remember this so I let him listen to the message they left on my phone. I told him he even got a helicopter ride out of it. We are communicating a little better now because we figured out that its easier for me to start at A and he blinks when I get to the right letter. (I was doing a horrible job at guessing the air letters) The best one of all so far has been Rub Feet... So Yes, he has had a couple of foot rubs. Every time Id stop because I thought he was asleep hed open his eyes and give me a look. So guess what... I kept rubbing. 😊 Lee had to leave this morning to go back to Florida. That was hard. But we still need to try to keep Little Brothers routine somewhat normal. Thank you so much for continuing to pray for Larry and our family. Each and everyone of you has my gratitude. May you be blessed!
