UPDATE 8/22/2014 11:00am EST Good Morning! Just wanted to let you know that both chest tubes were removed last night. Yesterday was such an amazing day! He impressed and surprised many people with all of his accomplishments. When Larry walked the hall yesterday (with all his tubes and machines following) he had several of the nurses and staff just stopping what they were doing to watch him go. That was a really good feeling! He had 7 people following him while he walked and yes I was one of them. His respiratory guy looked at me, smiled and said Moms dont usually follow us on these walks... HA! He doesnt know me. LOL! The speech therapist is coming in today as is the physical therapist and his normal batch of doctors, oh and he is excited because he has a couple of morning visits scheduled. He has a busy day today, but those who know Larry also know that he has always kept a really hectic schedule anyway so why change anything now? Larry still has several months of recovery time to go but with everything that was and still is wrong with his body it has just been so amazing to see the healing hand of The Great Physician on him. Just to witness the healing and restoration that has taken place in an unbelievably short amount of time has really opened my eyes and my heart to the power of prayer! I mean I have always prayed but seeing and watching it first hand is so different! I am in awe and unable to totally wrap my head and thoughts around this. Larry is just so lucky to be so greatly loved and cared for by people who continue to remember him in prayer. He is a testimony to the power of prayer and Gods healing hands. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for continuing to uplift him. I am forever grateful. Be blessed!
