UPDATE 8-27-14: Today has been a great day! PT came to work with Dylan and the wheelchair man came to measure Dylan for his new wheelchair. (We have finally crawled and pushed our way through the red tape to allow him to do that much. Now we will await the red tape that will try to stand in our way of actually getting the thing made!) Its a long process but insurance is going to make sure they dont pay for anything they dont have to! The PT said Dylan did very well today. He was relaxed and range of motion was easy. We got Dylan up in the chair today for the first time in several days. There has been so much going on lately, and after a doctor appointment or a trip to the hospital, we usually let him just rest. Those things usually wear him out by themselves. He sat up for about 2 hours. This evening he has been coughing up a bunch of stuff. I guess all that moving around today helped loosen things up! Just when you think he is clear and go to turn off the suction machine, he coughs up another big bunch! I dont know where hes keeping it all! Please keep us in your prayers tonight, as we will have a nurse that hasnt been here before. I hope she catches on fast and is good with Dylan. Also, please pray for the nurse that was supposed to be here tonight. She is sick and the doctor advised her to call in tonight. Thanks so much!
