UPDATE: After weeks of waiting and praying, the results are in and I do not have bone cancer in my foot. PRAISE GOD!! The verdict is that I have: 1) an extra bone on the top of my foot at the talonvicular (most likely grown due to prior injuries in my younger years); 2) additional bone growth on the 5th metatarsal where my bone was showing signs of weakness due to Osteoarthritis, aka degenerative joint disease (A+ for my body for sending a fix BEFORE the weak bone became a problem!); 3) and, a calcaneal bone spur, to top it all off. While surgery is an option to remove the spur, Im trying some other holistic solutions first. The pain in my foot isnt constant but its enough to remind me my foot is still there on most days. :) So, Im hopeful the natural approach will work. Ive also been advised to invest in some good orthotic inserts. (Apparently, my flip flops, heels, nor flats offer the proper support my poor, abused feet need.) I had the foot scan for the orthotics done and learned a few things there, too. Who knew there are 3 arches in our feet? Not me. I also thought Dr. Scholls inserts were expensive until now. Sheesh!!(I wonder if Dave Ramsey would classify this as an emergency?) Of course, insurance doesnt cover them, so unless I hit the lotto jackpot, Im going to have to implement a savings plan to get them. (Hopefully, I can find some really cute shoes to put them in.) Until then, its good tennis shoes, walking only, and Organic Therapeutic Castor Oil wraps and foot massages for me. Thank you for all of your prayers and love! Words cant begin to express how much you mean to me.
