UPDATE!!!! Call for Singer/Songwriter Videos! On May 15, one volunteer songwriter will have a chance to perform a song live on the SongTown Webinar for Tom Jackson to demonstrate how to turn your performance into a MOMENT. Imagine you’re performing at a writer’s night sitting on a stool between two other songwriters. Or maybe you’re at a party and someone is passing the guitar around. You’ve got the song, now how do you create that moment when everyone’s hair stands up?? Weve now arranged for Tom (performance coach to the stars) to show you how! Here are the rules: *Send in a ONE song video of you performing your original song by midnight May 8, if you are able to be in Nashville on the evening of May 15. *Stage: Sit in a chair or on a stool and imagine you are in a songwriter round. There’s no room for a band or jumping around! Song introduction should be limited to your name, the title of the song, and the co-writers’ names. *Video must be no longer than 4 minutes. Send in .mp4 format to: webinars@songtown. Does not need to be a professional video. **You must registered for the May 15 webcast Creating Magic Moments in Your Songs to be entered. *Remember, read the rules and follow them carefully for your best chance at a Tom Jackson song makeover! *You’ll be notified by Tuesday, May 12. If your video is selected, you’ll make your way to the SongTown Studio in Nashville for the May 15 webcast. At the top of the webcast hour, Tom will have you perform your song and then he will make suggestions of how to bring out the power of the song and your best performance. This segment will run about 15 minutes, then you get to kick back and watch the rest of the webcast live in the SongTown Studio! Follow instructions and if you can’t be in Nashville on May 15, then be sure to tune in and watch Tom work his magic! Tom Jackson has coached superstar artists as diverse as Taylor Swift to The Band Perry to Jordan Sparks. He has an uncanny ability of teaching performers how to pull magical moments out of a song (performance), and in turn, create a show that people walk away remembering forever.
