UPDATE: Despite all the urgency with the calf rescue today, I also - TopicsExpress

UPDATE: Despite all the urgency with the calf rescue today, I also had a call from our Rangiriri branch regarding little Troys progress. He is feeding much better and gaining weight and energy but seemed a bit lethargic last night and a faint rattle sound was being heard with his breathing, also he was favouring his back left leg. I gave the go ahead for a vet check, and so he was taken along to Franklin vets, where it was diagnosed he had a touch of pneumonia. He has been given anti-biotics, and the leg was found to be ok and nothing wrong with it, but it may just be the way he was so roughly handled after birth, and told it should come good in time. He is now safely back with his fosterers, and we now have an additional vets bill to pay, but this little guy has been through so much we could not let him struggle and wanted to make sure he was ok. He is still with us, and happily runs around the front room with a couple of miniature pet dogs, so he thinks he too is one of the dogs at his foster home. Elaine, Sam and Bex are doing a fantastic job with his care. If any can help with donations towards his vet care we would be most grateful. Thank you. ;)
