UPDATE FLASH! GayGames9 Wrestlers & Grapplers! Expect a Survey Monkey Data Form eMail from WWB this week... 1 month data collection for FreeStyle & Grappling Pairings... Please check your eMail SPAM filters and be sure you answer the ~18 questions in this data form URL before 15 July 2014.... The email will be unique to you and your email address. WWB and GGs9 are very excited, as we begin the final countdown to Gay Games 9 Cleveland. Our registrations for FreeStyle and Grappling are ~60 unique competitors, and it is the most diverse group of any past GGs.... e.g.. The Aussies are the largest single team! ~20% are in the over >50 Vets category! ~10% women! ~20% in the >85kg weight categories! Most FreeStylers have registered for the Grappling as well. We have already surpassed the registration numbers of Amsterdam GGs5 and Koeln GGs8, and it is still our hope to get close to the magic 2006 Chicago 100 wrestlers/100 bouts number. WWB and GGs9 are putting on both FreeStyle and Grappling tournaments both sanctioned by FILA/USA Wrestling. This is important in that this insures appropriate medical and liability policies are in place to protect everyone. It also permits us to procure qualified licensed officials. Therefore all competitors must submit this Survey Monkey Data Form prior to the event in order for it to be verified. This information also allows us to begin parings earlier, and alert all of you sooner what to expect on Monday 11th. August at Case Western University... re: schedule, registration distribution, weigh-ins, pairing brackets, exhibitions, etc.. Finally, it is the goal of WWB and GGs9 to insure that everyone has the time of their life in Cleveland like all of us have had at past GGs, and not experience -any- angst. WWB has been handling GGs FreeStyle since NYC 1994. This years GGs9, is offering Grappling for the first time, so we ask for some patience. Thanks... WWB Board: Christopher Lorefice, Carlin Yetts, Roger Brigham, Josh Watkins, & Gino Carmody
