UPDATE FOR NEXT WEEK: My thoughts have changed - TopicsExpress

UPDATE FOR NEXT WEEK: My thoughts have changed slightly... Tuesday continues to be a rough day for anyone traveling south and west... and now it looks as though the start of the precipitation may reach the Mason-Dixon Line by Tuesday evening... so the storm appears to be moving faster than previously thought. Tuesday still looks like a day with significant travel delays for much of the Southeast and Deep South... and now the Mid-Atlantic by later on in the day. By Wednesday morning... the entire I-95 corridor experiences heavy rain with accumulating snow to the north and west... Although the latest run of the European shows snows into the big cities... I do not buy significant snows in the big cities of the Northeast... HOWEVER... once you get say 50... to even 100 miles north and west, that is where I expect the significant accumulating snows. Some accumulations in excess of 6 inches are possible, especially the higher in elevation you go. IN SHORT... Wednesday is likely to be a mess for much of the Eastern Seaboard... coastal rains and inland snows. By Thursday... most of this moves out to New England and some areas are left with a White Thanksgiving. CONFIDENCE: 8/10
