UPDATE FROM HEATHER 11:08 Christie is still fighting. Her vitals remain within range as her body is trying to heal and normalize. The pressure in her brain spiked, but has gone back down. The doctors and nurses tell us not to fixate on the numbers. They want her consistent and continuing to improve. Improvement shows in *small steps*. Last night, she spontaneously moved her arms a couple of times. Its important that it was her initiative. The doctors and nurses have counseled Jason that she will remain in ICU for several weeks and that it will be a long journey. I need to reiterate how serious the situation remains. Please keep praying! Many of you are asking how you can help. Jason has asked that you please send goodie baskets, meals, flowers, Starbucks, anything you wish to: Neuro Trauma Surgical ICU Nursing Station and Christies unit, Cardio Vascular ICU Nursing Station at St. Johns Hospital. They are taking *exceptional care* of their little nurse and lovingly guiding our family through this. Thank you.
