UPDATE: Hallelujah! GOD IS GOOD!!! My court experience turned out well, and I am very happy. I gotta tell ya, I have never been in a nicer courtroom. The judge was as pleasant and reasonable as Andy Griffith, and explained the process very clearly to all of us. There were multiple officers there to represent the different law enforcement departments that had issued various civil traffic citations. After the judge did a roll call, we were allowed to speak with our Officer to see if a settlement could be reached. Everyone was respectful, considerate, and courteous. I am happy now to pay the fine agreed upon and move on. Or should I say MOVE OVER!! Which is what this lesson is all about in the first place. If you should ever see an emergency vehicle with lights flashing, Move Over to the adjacent lane if possible to do your part to save lives!!
