UPDATE: Hamas Stresses Either a Port or Continued Rocket Fire Hours before the temporary ceasefire is about to end, Hamas presents their conditions for extending the ceasefire: an Israeli approval of the establishment of a port in Gaza. “We are ready to renew the campaign,” Hamas threatened. “Any decision to invade Gaza again will mean the IDF will be destroyed.” A spokesman for the military wing of Hamas stated tonight that the terror organization will resume firing at Israel “if Israel does not agree in principle to the establishment of a port in Gaza.” According to him, “Any decision to invade Gaza again will lead to the destruction of the IDF. We are ready to restart the campaign and go into a long war of attrition. The resistance is capable with Allah’s help. We will turn enemy tanks into games in Gaza.” He threatened Israel with a long war of attrition and disrupting Ben-Gurion International Airport. “We will never agree to stop the campaign without Israel stopping its aggression in all its forms and there will be a real end to the siege,” Abu Oneida stated. “The most obvious expression of this would be the establishment of a port. Without achieving this goal, we actually disrespect the victims of the Palestinian people sacrificed in this struggle.” The Palestinian delegation is expected to cease negotiations and leave Cairo if Hamas’ demands are not met.
