UPDATE: I had a follow up appointment with my oncologist, Dr. Joy. He was impressed with my progress and was happy that Im back at the gym and playing basketball. Theres been a recent study published out of the Cross Cancer that shows that women who exercise post breast cancer have far greater outcomes than those who dont so thats great news!! He checked my blood work and basically gave me a clean bill of health and set me free. Thats it, Im done!! Now I just follow up with my family doctor. I still have to wait 5 years before I can truly consider myself completely cancer free but in my mind, I am. Starting back to work full time and to quote Dr. Joy, this will simply be a small blip in what otherwise has been a wonderful life. With your positive attitude I can tell you will use this experience as a step to propel yourself upwards and on to better things. He is absolutely correct, that is what I plan to do. Thank you to my brigade for all the incredible support❤️
