UPDATE: I wanted to post an update to all my sweet and thoughtful friends who have all been blowing up my dear mommas cell phone to see how I am and how our dogs are. First of all, I am so grateful for your love and for the fact your thinking and praying for me! With that said, there have been so so so so many messages, vox, and calls today to see how I am that she could literally become my assistant. So I told her I would update you all so that she doesnt have to respond to everyone as that would take way too much time. We lost Cooper to parvo Sunday morning and it was devastating on both Matheau Michalak and myself. That same morning Lucy got sick, we rushed her to the vet and tests confirmed she also has parvo. She has stayed in the animal hospital the last few days and we should know soon if she will pull through it. But for now she wont eat or drink and is still very sick but fighting. She even walked outside and attempted to chase a Bird but then remembered she didnt feel good lol! So progress is good and we are believing she will get through this. She survived a horrific coyote attack so we believe she will kick parvo in the face. I am still at the University of Arizona Medical center and dont have much to share. Yesterday I threw up all day till I passed out, today was better but I am peeing blood which is new, they are running all kinds of tests but have no answers yet to my pain . They are trying new meds to try and decrease pain and manage symptoms but for the most part I am laying around waiting as they do tests. Nothing here is fast! I have been sick for 3 weeks now and am ready for it to be over. If they can get my pain lower, they may send me home and continue testing on an outpatient basis which means many more trips to Tucson. But as for now, I am here and being poked and prodded for various tests! Being in a teaching hospital is very different. I feel like I am on the tv show House MD. Everytime my doctor walks in, in walks a HERD of medical students. Its pretty uncomfortable to have that many people in such a small space all staring at me at my worst and talking about non ladylike bodily functions to them ALL! But I am hoping for answers and mainly for long term relief. So not much to update except both Lucy and I are fighting to her better! I got to do some work today from my hospital bed which was great! I love my people so much and hate feeling useless and just laying around. but thanks again for those of you who care enough to reach out! You really see who cares about you in times like these and I am grateful for each of you that have reached out. Every message has been read and truly is so appreciated! I will post as I have news so that everyone can give my moms phone a break! Love you all! Xoxo
