UPDATE NEW POSITION: DATABASE SPECIALIST SR. Multinational Technology Company seeks a Database Specialist Sr. for a large-scale project in Haiti. He/she will be responsible to install, configure, maintain, deploy the databases and provide database Support during the project. FUNCTIONS: •Report to the Technology Manager. •Install, maintain and deploy the databases of the project •Install, maintain and deploy the replication system and clusters of databases •Implement backup procedures •Ensure optimal performance of the technological databases tools used in the project. •Prepare the documentation associated with contingency procedures (DRP) for the components of the technology platform used. •Submit Test Results Report, Certifications of the Platform and Project Performance Report to the Technology Project Leader •Submit required reports during the project. POSITION PROFILE: •Degree in Systems Engineer, Computer Science Engineer or related •5+ years experience in similar positions •French, Creole, English and Spanish is a plus Specifics Knowledge: •Installation and configuration of Databases (Oracle RAC 11gR2, SQL Server, etc.) •Installation of Oracle data replication tools (Dataguard, DBVisit) •Installation of RMAN •Backup process configuration and maintenance •Administration of all the databases deployed •Datawarehouse •PL / SQL •Linux Abilities and Skills: •Be Innovative, creative and committed to assume the challenges in the workplace and / or staff. •Working under pressure and meet the objectives set by schedules or work plans. •Be practical and meet the defined objectives. •Anticipating the solution of any problems and be proactive. •Organize the information received during the different phases of the project. •Communicate effectively both orally and / or written. •Produce deliverables in real time. •Interact with different levels of the company, customer and suppliers. •Maintain continuous update of knowledge related to your specialty. •Understand the technology needs of the project and translate the requirements of infrastructure.
