UPDATE ON BLAKE•Thank you all for your prayers for us while we were at Duke. Following the ERG, we didnt get the unofficial results that we usually get so of course, that has made us nervous. They did have to use a breathing tube & it took a lot longer this time than the other procedures in the past. They ended up having to give him a dose of pain medication following the ERG & he had more discomfort during this visit than those of the past. Fortunately, he was all smiles when we were placing him in his stroller to leave. :-) Please pray for the results to be normal. As for today, we were at Brenner for a routine follow up appointment with one of his two Neurologist & she was very pleased with how well he is growing & with the progress that he has made developmentally. Although, it seems to never fail, with good news seems to always bring bad news for us. That bad news is that she believes that Blake may have broken ketosis, for you & I that would be great news but for Blake that may mean a hospitalization soon until his body has returned to ketosis. For this reason, we now have lab work at Brenner on Monday, in addition to our previously scheduled ENT appointment to discuss tubes. Please pray that all is well with the lab results & no hospitalization is needed. After Duke yesterday, Brenner today & again on Monday, were sick of hospitals & all the germs that come with these visits. Thank you all for your continued prayers & support for our little family. #BlakeOdell #OurJourneyIsAnythingButNormal #GoingToPlaceHimInABubble
