UPDATE ON DIAMOND: As of 12:00 noon today, heres what I know. Diamonds name has been changed to Bridget in the system at Fulton County Animal Services. They are in the process of trying to correct the name now, provided that there is not already a dog there with the same name. Diamond weighed in at 35 pounds, at least 10-15 pounds underweight for her age, estimated at about 3 years. She was also diagnosed as positive for heartworms, but the prognosis is very good nonetheless. The GOOD news is that Diamonds total cost to adopt will be $115, which will take care of her heartworms, include having her spayed and microchipped. The adoption fee itself is waved and she will be a healthy girl. There were problems with the computer system yesterday, so there is a question at the moment as to whether or not she is still on hold. The adoption coordinator is investigating and will call me back with that information as soon as she has it. I will relay that information here when I get it.
