UPDATE ON DOUGIE: We have awesome news on this sweet boy- Dougie was one of the 19 pups that came into our rescue on 6/9, and some of you know he gave us quite a scare- when we met the transport in NJ, Dougie was unable to stand or walk, and could not put any weight on his hind legs. We were afraid of everything from dysplasia to spinal injury... We brought him right to our vet and he has been fostering with their family, improving every day. Turns out it was an accidental injury to his right hind leg, and our vet believes he hurt his knee joint playing before his journey north, then it stiffened up on the long transport up from NC. As of today, he is as good as new, and bursting at the seams to find his new family (and our vet needs us to pick him up before his kids end up nagging him to death to let them adopt one more puppy lol). Anyway, Dougie is coming back to rescue on Thursday evening, 6/27, and will be available for adoption this week : )
