UPDATE ON JON: Our warm Hugs of Love throws was an awesome, beautiful experience. When we got to the center we stacked the throws on a big table in the dining room since lunch time was over and most of the residents were resting in their rooms. I asked how would be the best way to give them out and the nurse helped us with the project. Even Larry and Jenni got in the giving spirit and helped me along with Lissa and Corbin. It was so cute as the news went out among the residents and those that could walk or wheel their chair were trolling by in hopes of getting a blanket. I let them pick their own as there was a large assortment of colors and design. I tried to get the men the ones with the animals on them. I had fun telling one you look like a bear so do you want a bear throw, and he laughed! I could hear one in the distance saying, their giving blankets to everyone, did you get yours?..lol..I bought one yellow throw and a little lady said, I want yellow, I told her that it was special just for her since it was her fav. Color. One lady just held her throw to her face and rubbed and hugged it saying, its So soft and warm. So thankful!! As we went down the hall the nurse would say, there are two men or two women in this room and as we presented them she would put their name on their tag. I had bought enough to give every resident, nurse, house keeping, kitchen aid and office people one! And Eunice the one you made JON was beautiful! Even the bow was gorgeous, I had to wear it and looked like these babies with their over size bows..ha!..I did take pics. And will be posting them soon. Ive never felt as blessed as each person thanked and blessed us for caring, even the staff thanked and blessed us over and over. It was the best Christmas ever for me and my family. Yes, Jesus is the reason for the Season and it is better to give than receive. Thanks again to all those that made it possible. And from your spirit, to mine to them it was a great and wonderful thing.
