UPDATE ON MAX: I just heard back from the vet clinic. Max will be neutered sometime this week and there will be no charge for the surgery, so there is no need to try to raise money for him. The vet clinic does not want him to go to a foster home. They want to keep him in the office until a forever home is found, and they prefer someone local, so they could do a home check. Max is a little skiddish and needs obedience training, so he would be best for someone who has a lot of time and previous experience with German Shepherds. Thank you all who offered to help. I will be in touch with the clinic to see how he is doing and follow up on his forever home. ~Eva
