UPDATE ON SALLY !!!!! Well Sally has been seen by the vet and the plan is to drain the joint and then treat with iced hock boots to reduce the swelling and keep it under control and see what we end up with and then we will have to see where we go from there.Surprisingly she is sound and she can be ridden but again it will remain to be seen what effect this has on the injury. But she is so far been entirely wonderful to have around although Terrie took flying lessons in order to keep up with her , trotting up for the vet..lol .. She moves so big.. There is a good chance that in time we may be able to reduce it by at least 50% but we will have to wait and see.. In the meantime her huge beautiful brown eyes and kind and gentle nature will be all the inspiration we need to try.. Not the end of the story by a long way xx Sad and Disappointed ...Down but not Out !!!!! Some of us horsey know it alls...lol... Very occassionally trust other horsey know it alls to buy horses we want by looking at lots of pictures and videos and we can satisfy ourselves with all the questions we need to ask that it is the horse we want.. We are willing to take slight calculated risks that the picture may be flattering and the horse is not quite so beautiful as you expect it to be when it arrives on reliable and very experienced transport... Minus its Passport !!!!! and the boys could have refused to travel it but didnt want to let me down... As the proverbally horsey know it all, I asked all the usual and very relevant questions one would ask and hoped the vendor would be at least vaguely honest in most answers or if I was really lucky and it was someone like me .. daft enough to take what sounded like an honest creep at his word.. The very last question I asked was.... will you promise me that whatever else the mare is SOUND and it has no splints ..lumps bumps scars or other blemishes that will stop her from showing as that is what I would like to do with her before breeding some beautiful big native foals... I only asked for the truth before I parted with my £2500 and believed the man and his wife and the woman who advertised her on face book to be genuine... I have an emailed receipt for my money stating the mare is sold sound and blemish free The mare arrived with us and was entirely beautiful and was in every way exactly what I wanted her to be.. except for one thing !!!!!! A massive injured and severely strained hock.. with a bog spavin like lump the size of your fist on the front of one of her hocks and thoroughpin like swellings ... Looks like an old injury to me and I am pissed off but willing to give the now not so nice man the benefit of the doubt I call the vet to take a look, and confirm my suspisions and yes, says my vet, old injury .. definitely didnt happen on the journey here.... Polite phone call to the less than truthful seller who now wishes to deny all knowledge of said hock the size of a house and she most certainly didnt have that when she left...Surprise , surprise... HOWEVER.. modern technology is a wonderful thing and on a really tight zoom in on the photographs.. well dam me, there is the house on the horses leg before it left the not so nice mans yard.... We can take the horse back if we want to.. amazingly !!!! If it has been me and the horse has left my yard in one piece I would have suggested one should politely bugger off ... And so ... We can take the mare back and I will be six hundred pounds worse off...transport and vet... plus all my time.. And return an otherwise lovely girl to a yard where she was left with badly trimmed feet and two miss matching front shoes..one with toe clips and one without ?????? and an injury that had clearly not been attended to, as with some proper veterinary care , the situation will improve... and no passport !!!!!!! To return a wonderful creature back to a place where they couldnt offer her decent hoof care or veterinary care is not something I am not prepared to do and if needs be will suffer my loss.. Our vet has declared her not fit for the purpose I have bought her for.. so a clear case of deliberately trying to sell a horse not fit for purpose.. To the man who thinks he saw me coming up the river on a bubble... You are a Liar and a cheat.. and to the woman who advertised her, you said you knew this horse and you are as big a cheat... I took you all three at your word and it wasnt worth Jack shit , but my money was real and I hope you choke on it and Karma will bite your ass real soon... As for the mare ..I will have her poor damaged hock properly treated by a vet and make the best of your blatant neglect of this wonderful noble creature... And for those of you out there looking for a pony for your kids... These lying dishonest people are offering a red and white pony for sale at the moment so I would think on before you buy... After I have asked Legal Advise I will be speaking with the sellers again.. all of them and will make public who they are.. And just in case anyone thinks i was stupid to buy her unseen, the seller entered into a contract with me that above all else this mare was sound and blemish free and I was happy to accept everything else on those terms.. Horses come under the sale of goods act and have to be sold fit for purpose and the vendor must declare any blemish or unsoundness to the buyer.. Well they lied and I will be claiming compensation in the near future.. For now the mare will get proper care and my conscience at least be clear that I have done the right thing by the horse.. Can you three Scumbags say the same about your conscience in your dealings with me ???? No !!!! I think not .. and all the folks on here will now know one thing for future reference... YOU are NOT TO BE TRUSTED to buy a horse from.... Enjoy your ill gotten gains and my honest money... and I will take good care of your damaged horse and spend even more of mine getting her as well as i can.. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
