UPDATE: Rafael is in the building and has been spotted in the CPCU riding around on his Med pole. Jason has really been loving his new Halloween costume. He really loves the attention it brings...imagine that. The last few days we have been trying to manage Jasons heparin and Coumadin levels. Many finger pokes later it seems to be under control. We have also worked on weening his Milrinone (heart med) and after weening it from 0.5 to 0.3 in 2 days he is showing signs that his heart is not tolerating it (elevated heart rate, hard time breathing, tiredness, sweating and chest pain). we are now back to 0.5. They are taking a co-ox blood test to see how much blood the heart is receiving And there is now talk of moving us back to the CICU if it comes back high or his vitals dont improve in the next few hours. I had a gut feeling that the ween wasnt going to work but I really hoped that I was wrong. Please pray that it improves so that he can rest comfortably. Heart
