UPDATE!! Regarding animals in the cold: The misunderstanding has been cleared up. The ACOs will now use their discretion in cases regarding adequate shelter for animals outside in the cold. I know many of you have been told multiple things regarding who to call when you are concerned about an animal. Thank you very much, not only for looking out for our communities animals, but also for following up your concern with action by calling. I know the confusion has been frustrating. However, all should be cleared up now. So, if you see an animal outside and you are concerned for their safety, please report that to Animal Control at 340-0016, or 340-0118 if it is an evening or weekend. DO NOT call the County Attorney any longer. Thank you.
