UPDATE Sat Nov 8/14 8pmET An upper level low, a surface trough and plenty of low level moisture have all combined and are the culprits behind the inclement weather conditions throughout most of the Eastern Caribbean over the last few days, but especially on Friday and Saturday. Heavy rainfall continues tonight just east of the Windward Islands in asscociation with the dynamic jet streak, this feature is expected to track NWwards and bring more heavy rainfall threats to portions of the island chain, including Puerto Rico. Flooding is expected to worsen in areas already experiencing it. Since soils and hillsides are saturated, additional rainfall will easily cause land slips. Caution is advised. Weather conditions should vastly improve across the islands on Monday.
