UPDATE : Steve Sullivan June 8 Sorry..... Kinda long Steve - TopicsExpress

UPDATE : Steve Sullivan June 8 Sorry..... Kinda long Steve has been home from the hospital now since May 4. We are thankful to the Lord that he is doing very well. We are continuing to have 3 to 4 doctor visits a week to the various departments (weekly to Audiology (for hearing loss) and INR (maintenance of blood thinners).... We also go to Neurology for Seizures maintenance; and ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) for surgery of Brain (CSF Leak (Spinal Fluid Leak) through nose. Besides significant hearing loss, in which we are continuing to pray and believe for complete hearing.... Steve is doing great... In which are so thankful to The Lord and we give Him all the Praise! He is feeling stronger everyday, physically and mentally. His surgeon that sealed the multiple Spinal Leak holes in cranium, just two days ago at our appointment, gave him a No Restriction on all activities Go Ahead, as he said the seals look great and are completely healed. Praise God! He seemed surprised that the seals looked so wonderful, as he called other surgeons in to look at the seals with their high tech telescope machine through the nose. They were smiling and laughing as they marveled at how well they looked. Steve said to Doctors, WELL, THANK YOU, AND.... PRAISE THE LORD!!!! Steve is biking and has now been cleared to start training for marathons again. He has run 7 miles in the last couple days. He said it started off difficult, but he felt better as he continued to run. They feel him exercising is great physical therapy. He has felt some dizziness with hearing problems, but said running takes it away. He will continue to take blood thinners and Anti Seizure meds until mid September. They are clearing him to fly in November. Our new departure date for Asia is January 1st. They are giving him time to make sure he is strong and healthy before we go. Plus we need to make up time for 6 weeks of no itineration. And we are taking it slow. We have had 3 weeks of services so far, in which Steve and I both have been speaking. We are at 72% with our financial missions budget, in which we praise The Lord for. So please pray, as we continue to call churches and friends and pray in this last 28% of new support from churches and individuals. Sometimes this last 25-30% is the most difficult. So pray for open doors. We are anxious to go, and our team is anxious for us to get to the field. The field is ripe for harvest. NOW CONCERNING HIS HEARING.... He has lost more hearing in the last couple weeks. After prayer and steroid injections in ear, he has regained 10% on right ear. So his hearing loss at present is; 90% hearing loss in Right Ear and 70% in Left Ear. This is severe to profound hearing loss now.... But nothing is too difficult with God. Steve is in great spirits and we are both continuing to trust The Lord. We know He is still in control. Multiple doctors cannot believe, regarding his profound hearing loss, how well he does with communicating. As long as there is not back ground noise , he can carry on a conversation in person and on the phone quite well. They have kept us quite busy with doctor appointments and I am still driving him . I think his driving restriction will be lifted this week. Thank you ... Thank you... Thank you... For your love, support and prayers. We covet your prayers .......and ask you to continue praying for our friends , Pastor Roger Stacy ( motercycle accident /head trauma/burns on hands/face) and Pastor John Goodman ( stroke/head/numbness) God Bless!! Have a great day serving our Lord!
