UPDATE: Vics surgery yesterday involved opening him up (on the left part of the old scar) and draining a large amount of infection. Cleaned infected tissue all the way down to his plate (not a good sign). Doctor left his wound open and just packed with gauze until we meet with orthopedic surgeon tomorrow am. We might be looking at several more surgeries before he leaves the hospital and as of now his doctors estimate his stay to be at least a week. Today, he is just being treated very aggressively with several antibiotics (and pain killers, of course) and keeping his gauze changed out. We ask for continued prayers for our entire family.
