UPDATE: We wanted to let everyone know we had our visit with Kirks surgeon....finally! What a long few weeks it has been! Kirk got his staples removed which helped tremendously with the pain and comfortable level. We found out that Kirk did have kidney cancer. Doctor is pretty positive that he got it all removed. Yay!! A normal kidney cancer is about 7cm and Kirks was 28cm. About 4Xs the size! The rating scale for cancer is based on mass and size. Kirks cancer was very unique and they had a hard time deciding what to rate it. The doc told us they landed it as a T-2B kidney cancer which from what the doc and The Google says is that this type of cancer does not spread! WooHoo! Praise God!! But, Kirk will have a follow up appt in 6 weeks and then another one in 6 weeks after that and then they will monitor him closely for at least 5 years. Right now...no chemo or radiation! Thank you all SO MUCH for the continued prayers! We are beyond words and completely humbled by the outpouring of love, support, and encouragement we have received from so many! God was good before this appointment and He is SO good after!!! It was always all in His hands!
