UPDATE: Wendy’s Restaurant in Big Rapids identified as location of Mecosta Co. data security breach. So far no connection made in Wexford Co. regarding fraud. Calls have been made to the corporate offices of Wendy’s. Through initial information it appears that someone, most likely outside the U.S., remotely installed malware on the restaurants server. The problem has been rectified and new computers and software have been installed at the Big Rapids restaurant.
