UPDATE: adjusting to Home...good afternoon Family! Time for an update from the Abbey . Its October 24 , 2014 . I personally feel like today was the first stable day we have had since we arrived home . Its been a process of making sure all her attendant needs fell into place....and it has . We have had failed equipment , insurance refusing to cover her inhalers due to their cost , adjustment to new meds , new monthly bills have arrived for my mom and I am working as fast as I can but its not going to be able to help her in time , experimenting with different new foods for her , scheduling her Dr appointments , watching some TV , lots of rest , lots of trials with new equipment , battling institutionalized depression , keeping visits and activity low key ......all in all so far so good ! We are expecting to be able to get a clearance to allow the visitors to flow through the Abbey by next week !!! She is taking calls , so please call and give some much needed love !! Its going to take our family a few weeks to catch up and get back on our feet , any assistance you can extend towards my mother still would greatly help , the transition and cost of supplies her insurance wouldnt cover she is without means to cover some of her bills . You can contact her or me , if needed I can provide the numbers and addresses to her outstanding bills if you can help !! Her granddaughter will be getting married next week , she is very happy for her , but will not be able to attend . So life is defiantly moving on , Change has happened and all have adjusted .
