UPDATE on California Kitty the (former!) Colony Cat Cat Chance of Sarnia writes: Thanks to your support, California has had her surgery. She is doing fantastic and getting plenty of the attention she loves so much. If it wasnt for community support, community cats would be left to suffer alone. California says thank-you to all of the wonderful hearts who care. She is officially up for adoption. If an affectionate cat who loves to socialize makes you smile, California may be for you! California the Calico Cat needs your help. She has always called her outdoor colony home. This fall volunteers saw that she had been injured, severely limping. By looking more closely they noticed her mouth was full of sores. She was taken to a veterinarian to discover that although she had no broken bones, she was experiencing a lot of pain in her mouth. The vet described her condition as Lymphocytic plasmocytic stomatitis. Noted: Inflamed gums, hemorrhagic lesions on gums. Requires full mouth extraction .Very painful. X ray done to determine leg and hip are not broken . We are insure of why she is walking as if her hip is broken. Appears to have been hit somehow in the face but without doing more x rays on jaw area it is hard to determine what exactly happened to her. The veterinarian explained that she is in a lot of pain and the only way to relieve her of the pain permanently is to remove her teeth. We believe she deserves this chance.
