UPDATE on Noelle: Game plan for now is to go in tomorrow and drain as much of the infection as possible. Then insert an external drain that will remain after surgery for continuous draining of the infection. She will be here five to seven days on continuous antibiotics. After that she will be sent home on a pic line so she can receive IV antibiotics after her discharge from home for several weeks. After they are sure that the infection is under control she will return to have her appendix removed. In the words of the surgeon to remove her appendix now would be like entering a war zone. It would be too dangerous. She is one sick little girl. The doctor was amazed she is handling things as well as she is and has made it this far. That girl is a fighter. But we all know what the power of prayer can do.
