UPDATE on Scoot: Think twice before booking. NSW Fair Trading has advised the Company is only registered in Singapore & so any pursuit of them would have to be done there. Lesson 1: Do not book with this Company as you have no recourse under Australian Law. Laughably they advised Fair Trading that they have no affiliation with Singapore Airlines (MANDACITY in the extreme) and continue to hide behind their Conditions of Carriage. Will have to travel a day earlier, lose an extra day of annual leave and travel 7hrs 40 mins on a night train to connect with their rescheduled flight. That is the cheapest option. This reschedule will end up costing close to $500 in lost flights, lost pre-paid accommodation and additional train fare. Lesson 2: Never book Scoot again, and if you know someone who is going to warn them that whilst they do fly Singapore Airlines old 777-200 aircraft, any semblance of "A Great Way to Fly" ends there.
