(UPDATE to earlier post): The Florida Bars recent LinkedIn training for section and committee members during the Fall Meeting in Tampa was a huge success. More than expected turned out, some great questions were asked and the typical comment we heard from those in attendance was, Thank you for this ... NOW I know what Im doing on LinkedIn. One of the purposes, of course, was to encourage section and committee members to begin working toward starting their own LinkedIn groups so they can more easily communicate and stay up-to-date on progress being made from one corner of the state to another through the use of private discussion forums like LinkedIn offers. And were happy to report that, as of today, weve got two new groups started! The Florida Bar Voluntary Bar Leaders and Florida Bar Committee Leaders LinkedIn Group are officially up and running: Voluntary Bars: linkd.in/1tfYkBV. Committee Leaders: linkd.in/1pJ2Js9 The groups, of course, are closed membership. But thats the idea: Find your niche, gather enough Florida Bar members from your section or committee to participate and get LinkedIn!
