UPDATED 5:00 ET - European stocks rose the most in three weeks amid signs U.S. lawmakers will agree on a compromise deal to avoid an unprecedented default. U.S. index futures also climbed, while Asian shares were little changed. FIXED INCOME - Treasury 10-year notes fell for a third day on signs House Republican and Senate Democratic leaders are considering a short-term increase in the nation’s debt limit to avoid a U.S. default. COMMODITIES - Brent crude rose after a militia detained Libya’s prime minister and removed him from a Tripoli hotel, fanning concern that the North African country will struggle to maintain oil output amid political upheaval. CURRENCIES - The dollar climbed against the yen and the euro in the longest run of gains in a month. ECONOMIC DATA - GBP Official Bank Rate due at 7:00, US Treasury Sec Lew Speaks at 8:00, US Unemployment Claims due at 8:30, FOMC Member Bullard Speaks at 9:45, Natural Gas Storage at 10:30, BOJ Gov Kuroda Speaks at 12:00 and ECB President Draghi Speaks at 12:20 ET.
