UPSC PAPER-1 Analysis MAINS-2014 (Summary only) 4th year consequently ASPIRE predictions, teaching and students learning shines...... feeling so HAPPY THAT I was able to help my students….. P-1 GS except 3 questions analysis of others we discussed and learn in the class T-50, NEWSPAPER-2014 PT and MAINS as well as my Geo classes.... As per the prediction 100 marks GEOGRAPHY (I was in one of the center where more than 35 students were from ASPIRE, for them geo was easy for others it was bit technical,,,, so directly the edge of 50-60 marks bz questions like I&S, Africa resources, geosyncline and tea plantation we did in the class with proper analysis and conceptual clarity) Thanks for believing in us..... :) Here are analyses of P-1 GS 2014 MAINS: 1. Again most of the questions are based on WHY? And analysis…. Which are not possible without thinking before the examination. 2. Now there is NO shortcut, which means only referring the notes of some classes or some books will not help you. 3. Fusion of contemporary as well as traditional part. 4. Less mugging more thinking 5. Need of conceptual clarity. Read the question from below: Q.1 we discussed this question in the newspaper class (dec 2013-14 session) handout-2 Essential points: we took term “urbanisation from IVC”, drainage sys, grid sys, urban morphology, central place location, port development, warehouse, water harvesting in the current pattern. Recent e.g: Khirsara and ranighari (The Hindu newspaper) Q.2 This question I discussed in IYB CULTURE-2014 and T-50 class Essential points: Alexander bring it, Muscular body, curly hairs, visual images, sharp features particularly nose, Stucco material, broad head, depiction of Greek GOD….. all they dipected through Buddha. Q.3 We didn’t discuss in the class but easy to answer by class discussion and logic: Taxila located at the zone of invaders NALANDA WAS NOT, Nalanda is at the cross culture between SE Asia, S.Asia and West Asia, Nalanda location is over indo gangatic plains, Foreign travellers easily reached nalanda than taxila, mature dynasties flourished near Nalanda not near TAXILA. Q.4 Again analytically question, We didn’t discuss in the class but easy to answer by class discussion and logic: Treated as zone of buffer between east and west or India and central Asia, because of DOAB fertile tract, Central Asia Invasion, due to failure of agriculture in central Asia, Pan Asiatic empire dream and for identity and food security. (** NO RELATIONSHIP WITH 3RD BATTLE OF PANIPAT, IT HAS BEEN INSERTED JUST TO CONFUSE STUDENTS) Q.5 Again analytically question, We didn’t discuss in the class but easy to answer by class discussion and logic: Sunni group dominates through out the centuries, no social or other media, no traveler who represent SUFI, liberal form of Islam, various sects within SUFISM and geographical isolation. Q.6 Direct question from GROVER which I recommend in every batch (but only few chapters) in recent workshop also I recommended this book (We did this question in T-50, PT crash course), here student should accumulate all the chapters and related analysis (as the question talked about from mid 18th century till independence: Essential points: Imperialism to capitalism through industries and dustak right, subsidiary alliance policy, Wellesley and Dalhousie policy, Delhi durbar, Import substitution, home charges, Afghanistan policy, poor foreign policy, new deal after 1930 and heavy rigid taxation resulted into drought and famine. Other questions and there analysis we will update by night :) :) Now we are ready to help those WHO are serious about 2015.... our confidence have been increasing day by day, exam by exam and year by year... no it is upon you.... ANALYSIS AND WRITING PRACTICE WINS :) All the best Jai Hind Jai Bharat :)
