UPSC has released the final results of Indian Forest Service Examination (IFS) 2013, conducted for the recruitment to the prestigious Indian Forest Service. A list of names of selected candidates is available at the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) website. Detailed marks are expected to be uploaded by UPSC on their website sometime within the next 15 days. Originally 85 vacancies had been announced; General 43 vacancies, OBC 23 vacancies, SC 13 vacancies and ST 6 vacancies. The final result list includes: 85 candidates, including 29 belonging to Other Backward Classes, 13 to SC, 6 to ST and 2 physically handicapped candidates. The selection for the IFS (Indian Forest Service), for the first time consisted of three rounds. Aspirants were required to attempt the Civil Services Preliminary exam, then the IFS mains exam and finally the personality test by way of interview. The preliminary exam was held in May 2013, Indian Forest Service mains exam was held in October 2013 and the Personality Test (interview) took place in December 2013.
