UPSIDE DOWN In my last blog ‘God Science’ I wrote; What I base my life on in this world is dreamlike. There is really nothing solid and lasting about anything in this world. That’s what Way of Mastery (WOM) and A Course in Miracles (ACIM) tell me. That’s what aspects of Buddhism and Hinduism tell me. That is what modern science now more and more tells me. Finally it seems as if life or more specifically consciousness is entering the field of science as a factor to be reckoned with. Increasingly I come across books by top scientists intimating that there is a direct interaction between the observer and the observed that cannot be explained in rational scientific terms. In essence this tells me that the opinion of the scientist actually could influence the outcome of the experiment. This is in itself nothing new. Quantum physics has already made this patently clear nearly 100 years ago. But what is really interesting is that this fact is proving to be true also on a larger scale than subatomic particles. Slowly, slowly consciousness is creeping into physics. Maybe the question of the physical universe existing independently of life/consciousness is nevertheless not so odd. And to be really radical we can even take this one step further by asking, does the physical universe even exist without conscious life being there to observe it? To a traditional physicist this might sound blasphemous. However, certain top interdisciplinary scientists are suggesting just that. This is the kind of stuff I love. Turning old traditional ways of looking at our existence upside down. Maybe this world is an illusion after all. As I’ve said before I love science. Especially the kind of science that sends my spirit flying like what is being presented in the TV series ‘Through the Wormhole’ with Morgan Freeman. And as I’ve also said before I love WOM and ACIM. Especially the kind of WOM that sends my spirit flying when Jeshua says; There is nothing outside you, you are unlimited, eternal and forever free. Since my introduction to WOM I’ve been convinced that there are no boundaries between science and spirituality. Over the next few blogs I will try to explain how I’ve arrived at this conviction.
