URBAN GOSPEL ~Somebody please educate me on this so called URBAN GOSPEL. I sincerely need education on this new trend of Gospel Music that has taken over our Christian TV stations and their secular counterparts as well. It is called Urban Gospel. I struggle to flow with it maybe because I am outdated, outmoded, old school, archaic or too orthodox in my approach to Christian principles. I really need help to understand how so called Gospel artistes both home and abroad wear baseball cups turned sideways or backwards, dark shades, buggy jeans, casual clothing and RAP or SING over high metal instrumentation and unintelligible lyrics claiming to be the strategy in taking the gospel to the streets.
