(BROOKLYN): I am so sorry to tell you that beautiful, elderly Alan is on the To Be Destroyed list for tomorrow. With a great behavior evaluation, Alan was posted here earlier, but in the Brooklyn shelter, age is a strike against any dog. So now Alan faces, perhaps, his final night on this earth. Hes such a good boy. Lets see if we can find him a home. PLEASE SHARE, COMMENT, LIKE, TAG, OR PLEDGE -- ALL THIS HELPS ALAN APPEAR IN THE NEWS FEED OF OTHERS. This will help him get adopted or fostered. He may be reserved online until noon tomorrow, and then he must be picked up from the shelter within 48 hours. Hes calm, gentle around other dogs, and just an all-around great older guy, but hes a little confused. Confusion is a sad and sorry thing to see in an older dog, and if youve ever had an old dog, you know what I mean. It makes us ask those questions: Is he wondering where his person is? Does he wish for a warm bed, or a friendly hand settled on his back as he lies on the couch? Or is he just plain scared? In any case, this ten year old, worried-looking dog is said to be calm, sweet, gentle, and dog-friendly. Hes available for direct adoption at the Brooklyn Center, meaning you can go to the shelter in person and meet him.
