Nonetheless, we need to make sure that we carry some of the weight when they find themselves in need. Recently, the Colorado floods have put at least two of our Green Beret warriors into financial hardship. In one case, a 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) soldier returned from Afghanistan to find his household goods had been destroyed by the floods. The home of another soldier, in the same unit, survived the flooding only to sustain significant damage to the basement windows when the area was hit by an additional 19 inches of rain.
