URGENT Forever Foster Home Needed Tulip is a darling 12+ year old doxie mix who just joined the CKSDR sanctuary! She has a large inoperable mast cell tumor on her rear end, as well as a few others on her chest. This means that she won’t live as long as we’d all like her to, but we hope that she still has another year in her! And, with her tumors shrinking thanks to regular steroids, we think there’s a good chance she’ll be with us for at least that long! Her teeth, which were horrible when she first arrived, are also improving with antibiotics, and you can tell she feels so much better! She’s showing her true personality, full of spunk and live and love. She adores people, and loves to play, snuggle, and curl up in blankets. She would love to be someone’s little princess! All medical care is paid for by the rescue, and all vet appts are made to fit your schedule (we also pick up and drop off, taking them to the appt ourselves). Tulip requires a little bit of clean up at the end of the day around her rear, as the tumor can get in the way when she poops. However, she is very well-behaved while being cleaned, and it’s super easy. Tulip is good with other dogs who are polite and respectful to her as an older girl, and she ignored cats when tested at the shelter.
