West Midlands pound dogs NIPPER – HANDOVER – NEEDS RESCUE ASAP – not formally assessed – female border terrier, 7 years old, has been signed over as a handover from a property where the owner is unable to cope due to mental health issues. Apparently she has been living in her own faeces and urine, and as a result has a respiratory infection, she is on antibiotics and inflammatory meds for this, she is quite overweight, she also has ear and eye infections, and has eye ointment, ear cleaner and ear drops, her skin is quite itchy and scurfy so we have advocated her.phew! poor girl. Apart from all her ailments and being very sore itchy and uncomfortable, she is a happy sweet girl, waggy tailed, pleased to see you, happy to be picked up, sniffed dolly through the bars, no aggression shown and tail wagging, runs and jumps around the yard, good on a lead, loves to be cuddled and have a bum scratch, was such a good girl in the vets having her eyes and ears cleaned even though they mustve been very sore. Needs out ASAP and a nice warm sofa to curl up on.
