URGENT: In an effort to take the next step beyond press releases against the rise of groups like ISIS, a few reliable volunteers (paid and unpaid) are needed for a time-sensitive video campaign that I and a handful of others are working on. At the Annual ISNA Convention this weekend, these volunteers will record powerful statements from both leaders and attendees, expressing why ISIS does not represent them nor their faith. And condemning their actions. This will become part of an en masse video campaign of diverse Muslims responding to ISISs propaganda videos, fracturing their arrogant claim to be speaking on behalf of our worlds Muslim population, and rejecting their atrocities in the name of faith, including their execution of James Foley and their plans for future executions. Our hopes is that this campaign goes viral and quickly. If you are willing to step up for a few hours on either Saturday or Sunday to record these powerful clips or if you wish to be in a video while there, please message me or Sami Elmansoury ASAP with your name, number, email address, and when you will be at the conference. If we cannot find capable volunteers willing to do this for free, this can also be a paid effort. That said, donations towards this campaign would be a big help as well as loaning of video equipment that can be used over the weekend.
